THE MA1

Is this not the bomber jacket dreams are made of? The classic 1950's military jacket has gotten an update and I'm all over it. This one is the perfect coppery/rusty/pinky color that I happily welcomed into my monochromatic wardrobe. I had been lusting over the Acne Studios shiny pink bomber for what seems like eternity but I snatched this one up from Topshop just recently before it sold out in store. It filled the void in my closet without hurting my wallet. Win-win!

DYNAMIC DUO

There was a time when my attitude towards putting effort into my hair appearance was nonexistent. I am still pretty low maintenance when it comes to my hair routine but I'm trying. It all started when I got a haircut at Stag Hair Parlor. I would wait months and months, even up to a year (gasp!) in between my hair cuts. And for healthy locks, that's a no-no! As soon as those few inches came off my head, I immediately felt a difference and now I'm all about my hair. Goodbye to those limp and frizzy ends of mine!

Reverie Hair Milk and Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Dry Shampoo have been my go-to's for my everyday hair needs. They work really well with each other and have never failed me. The Hair Milk is an ultra conditioning anti-frizz cream that can be used in wet or dry hair. It smoothes and softens your hair and has become a daily ritual for sure. I read everywhere that celeb hair stylists love this stuff so I gave it a go and now I'm hooked.

On second day hair or days when mane is looking particularly flat and boring, I spritz the Nirvana Black Dry Shampoo. It smells ultra luxurious (and like an Olsen twin), absorbs oil, gives texture, and doesn't leave that weird white cast in your roots. That's pretty much the ultimate dry shampoo if you ask me.

I'm currently on the hunt for the perfect sea salt spray for those days when I want mega beach babe locks. If you guys have any recommendations, let me know!

NEW YEAR, SAME ME

Happy Friday and welcome to the first post of the year!

2015 has been so good to me and I'm so excited to make this year the best I've ever had. Taking initiative and being more adventurous are two of my New Year's resolutions, not only in my personal life but with the blog as well. I haven't posted nearly as much as I would have liked to but I can't wait to really delve into this creative outlet for 2016.

To kickstart the new year on a productive note, I figured I would whip up a post wearing my usual all black. You know my "go to" is a LBD and a biker jacket by now, right? That brings me to another New Year's resolution of mine: experiment more with my look! I guess we'll all see how that goes...
